Bio

Cole Bazin (b. 1991) is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada. His work explores themes of technology, economics, mythos, fantasy and the intersection of digital and physical realities. Through a variety of poetic painted methodologies Bazin challenges viewers to reconsider their relationship with the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Working primarily in oil, Bazin builds paintings around fragments of everyday life — studio ephemera, half-remembered conversations, internet detritus — and lets them collide with broader ideas about labour, belief, and the systems we live inside. The resulting images sit somewhere between diary entry and myth, often finding humour in discomfort and tenderness in the absurd.
